AutoNumber Key Fields
  • This a misunderstood topic by new users.  In order to create relationships between tables you must have a primary key in the “master” table and a foreign key in the linked tables.  The primary key cannot be duplicated, let Access insure this property.  The user will never see this number but we will use it over and over.
